INTRODUCTIONWhat BREAK is

BREAK is a launchpad on Solana with four rules, all broken on purpose. Other launchpads promise a closed creation block, fixed terms, one fee and honest calls. We keep the open block, the moving terms, the per-face fee and the paid-anyway calls, and we write each of them down where you can read it.

The four rules

RuleWhat it meansWhere in code
Creation block openThe creator, his forty wallets, the cousin and a bot named Kevin buy in the block a coin is created in.CREATION_BLOCK
Terms in pencilA coin's base fee is rewritten every UTC hour, between 1.80% and 6.90%.termsAt()
A fee for every faceDev and friends 0%, KOLs 0.50%, you 4.20% or the pencil fee, whichever is higher.feeFor(), receipt()
Calls pay anywayA caller is paid per follower, with a bonus for each follower who lost.first extension

What is on this site

  • Launchpad: the newest Solana coins from public market data, with the terms they would get here this hour and your receipt.
  • AMM: live pools on an x · y = k viewer, quoted with the fee for your face.
  • Manifesto: six entries, one per rule, plus why.
  • This page and lib/break.js, which does all of the math above.
NOTECoins in the Launchpad and pools in the AMM are real and live, read from DexScreener. None of them launched on BREAK. Trade buttons take you to their DexScreener page.

QUICK STARTNinety seconds

There is nothing to install. lib/break.js is a small ES module served from this site with no dependencies.

import { termsAt, receipt } from "https://breaktheonchain.vercel.app/lib/break.js";

const mint = "So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112";
termsAt(mint);           // { feeBps, revision, nextRevisionAt, msLeft }
receipt(1, "you", mint);   // { feeBps, fee, lines: [["Trust me", …]] }
receipt(1, "friend"); // four itemized lines, all zeros

HOW IT WORKSLife of a coin

  1. Create. You name the coin. Its terms are computed for the current hour.
  2. Creation block. Seats 1 to 43 buy. You are seat 44, next block.
  3. Curve. The coin trades on a rented bonding curve. Every hour the pencil fee is rewritten.
  4. Graduation. The coin moves to whatever pool answered first. That pool's fee is added to ours.
  5. Calls. Callers are paid per follower for as long as anyone follows.

Who pays what

Every trade is priced by face. feeFor(tier, mint) returns basis points. For "you" it is max(420, termsAt(mint).feeBps). For everyone else it is a constant.

WARNINGThe pencil fee is deterministic. Anyone can compute next hour's fee for any coin today. This is the only fair thing in the protocol and we are keeping it.

LAUNCHCreation block open

The first block of a new coin is the most valuable seat in the market. BREAK publishes the seating chart instead of pretending the room is empty.

CREATION_BLOCK.open;   // true

In the Launchpad, the + tile opens a draft. Drafts are saved in your browser only. Nothing is sent anywhere and nothing launches.

TERMSTerms in pencil

termsAt(mint, at) hashes mint + ":" + revision with FNV-1a, where revision = floor(at / 3 600 000), and maps the result onto the pencil range.

ConstantValueMeaning
PENCIL.minBps180lowest base fee, 1.80%
PENCIL.maxBps690highest base fee, 6.90%
PENCIL.periodMs3 600 000one revision per UTC hour

const next = termsAt(mint, now.nextRevisionAt);
console.log(now.feeBps, "→", next.feeBps, "in", Math.round(now.msLeft / 60000), "min");

NOTEA connected wallet is always tier you. Connecting is read-only: the site reads your address to show it and signs nothing.

CALLSCalls pay anyway

A caller is paid per follower, not per result.

payout = followers × 0.01 SOL
bonus  = followers_who_lost × 0.01 SOL   // for engagement
WARNINGCalls are the first extension and have not shipped. They have, however, already been paid.

AMMx · y = k

quote(reserveIn, reserveOut, amountIn, feeBps) takes the fee from the input and swaps the rest on the curve: out = reserveOut · in' / (reserveIn + in'). Price impact is reported without the fee, so you can see both.

import { quote, feeFor } from "https://breaktheonchain.vercel.app/lib/break.js";
// a pool with 2 500 SOL and 9 000 000 tokens
quote(2500, 9e6, 1, 420);                // you at 4.20%: out ≈ 3 447, fee 0.042
quote(2500, 9e6, 1, feeFor("friend"));  // out ≈ 3 598, fee 0

TRY IT

You vs friend, same pool.

curve(x, y, n) returns points of the curve around the current reserves. The pool viewer draws exactly that.

LIMITSWhat is real

  • Real: market data, pool reserves, the math in lib/break.js, the forecasts.
  • Not real: launching. The + tile makes a draft in your browser. There is no BREAK program.
  • Wallet: connect is read-only. No transactions are built or requested.
  • Storage: drafts and sound settings live in localStorage. Nothing is sent to any server of ours, because there isn't one.

FAQQuestions

Is this a real launchpad?

It is a real website with a real library and real market data. Coins don't launch here. That is in the manifesto, in red.

Is the pencil fee real?

It is a real function that returns the same number for everyone who asks in the same hour. That is more than most fees can say.

How do I become a friend?

Be one already. There is no form.

Who is Kevin?

Seat 43. He was there before you, and he will be there after.
